Our Skills-Based Project Academy equips new graduates in Healthcare Administration and Health Informatics with practical, employer-ready experience aligned with today’s evolving healthcare landscape. Led by and supported by WebForMDs.com, the Academy integrates real-world expertise into every training track.

Through hands-on micro-projects and guided learning experiences, participants gain applied skills across a broad range of high-demand areas, including medical practice marketing, mobile health (mHealth), digital care delivery, healthcare app development with HIPAA-compliant security, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, hospital operations, executive-level service strategies, and provider credentialing. Training also extends to workflow optimization, healthcare data analytics, patient engagement technologies, and operational efficiency initiatives -- along with additional areas of expertise offered by WebForMDs.
Participants build confidence, technical capability, and strategic insight through real-world applications designed to mirror current industry challenges. Each short seminar or certificate course is developed with direct input from WebForMDs experts and industry consultants, ensuring alignment with the most relevant and high-value skills healthcare organizations seek today.
Internships, residencies, and fellowship opportunities are completed in collaboration with WebForMDs and its extensive network of healthcare organizations. These experiences provide meaningful exposure to real-world environments while helping participants build professional connections and gain a competitive edge in today’s hiring market.
Steps to Obtain an IA Baseline Certification
STEP 1. CONTACT your Information Assurance Manager and follow your Component’s procedures to IDENTIFY your position, level and certification requirements within the IA Workforce.
STEP 2. OBTAIN training for the IA baseline certification you wish to take.
Training towards the 8570 IA baseline certifications can be obtained from any vendor. Individuals or Components who are interested in receiving training for any approved IA baseline certification are encouraged (but not limited) to work through the approved IA baseline certification vendors to identify appropriate training vendors. Additionally, training for many of the IA baseline certifications is available for free via the Virtual Training Environment (VTE)
STEP 3. REQUEST a certification exam voucher from your IAM.
STEP 4. Once you have passed your certification, REGISTER your certification in the Defense Workforce Certification Application (DWCA)
STEP 5. NOTIFY your IA Manager once you have completed all your training and received your certification.
